About Sudoku
Sudoku is a number placement puzzle on a 9x9 grid split into nine 3x3 boxes. Each row, each column and each box must contain the digits 1 to 9 exactly once.
Every puzzle here is generated fresh and has exactly one solution, reachable by logic alone — you never need to guess.
How to play
- Pick a difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert.
- Select an empty cell and type a digit from 1 to 9.
- No digit may repeat within a row, a column or a 3x3 box.
- Use pencil marks to note candidates before committing.
- Fill every cell correctly to finish; the timer records how long it took.
Controls
| Click / tap | Select a cell |
| 1-9 | Enter a digit |
| Backspace | Clear the cell |

Tips & strategy
- Scan for naked singles first — cells with only one possible digit.
- Then hidden singles: a digit that fits in only one cell of a row, column or box.
- Pencil marks are worth the time on Hard and Expert; without them you will loop.
