About Liar's Level
Liar's Level looks like the most ordinary platformer you have ever seen. A little character, a flat floor, a green door on the right. Walk over, go through, next level.
Except every level lies to you exactly once. The floor you are standing on drops out. Spikes you have already walked past erupt behind you. The ceiling comes down. The door — which has been sitting there patiently the whole time — moves the moment you reach for it.
The joke only works once per level, which is the point: you die, you laugh, you restart instantly and beat it. Twelve levels, and the death counter is the real score.
How to play
- Get to the green door. That is the whole objective.
- Move with the arrow keys and jump with up or space.
- Something in every level is not what it appears to be. Finding out what usually costs one life.
- Death restarts the level immediately — there is no lives counter and no game over.
- Twelve levels. Your deaths and total time are both recorded.

Tips & strategy
- Move slowly the first time through a level and quickly the second. The trap is always positioned to punish confidence.
- When a level looks completely empty, the floor is the trap.
- If the door moves, look at what appeared while you were watching the door.
- You can jump the instant you leave a vanishing tile — the trick is committing before you see it go.

How many levels are there?
Twelve, each built around a different lie. They get shorter and nastier as you go.
Is it meant to be unfair?
Yes, but only once per level. Every trap is survivable on the second attempt, and restarts are instant.
